This series, “From Dark to Light,” examines the theme of light and dark and its various interpretations in the Qur’an. “Paradise is under your mothers’ feet, so be good to her,” is how the saying goes. As there are layers of light and dark in nature, I was intrigued by the concept of light and dark inside the womb. In this case, dark represents protection–Symbolic of the divine perspective of a trial.
